The DC Universe is filled with many Superheroes. However, it is also filled with some of the most iconic and evil villains. With that in mind, check out the top 100 DC villains. 

#100 – 90. DC Villains

100. Starro

Starro is one of the worst DC villains being a warlord who has enslaved and conquered many galaxies.

99. Toyman (Schott)

Winslow Schott is a DC villain who thinks that adults have ruined the world for kids. One of the things that he is known for is using toys as guns.

98. Anton Arcane

Arcane is a villainous sorcerer with an army of the undead. 

97. Clayface (Karlo)

Originally, Clayface was just the actor Basil Karlo. However, after finding out that his horror film was being remade, he went crazy and killed the entire crew and cast while wearing the mask of the film’s villain Clayface. Initially, he didn’t have any powers; however, he later gained the power to shapeshift into anything he wants. 

96. Brother Blood

Brother Blood is one of the most interesting DC villains. You can actually only become “Brother Blood” by killing the previous one. In fact, the current incarnation is actually the 8th in his line. 

95. Shadow-Thief

Shadow-Thief is the nemesis of the superhero Hawkman. His villainous power is using extra dimensional shadow powers. 

94. General Eiling

General Eiling started out as a good army many. In fact, he was responsible for the creation of Major Force and Captain Atom. Originally his powers were limited; however, after taking over the body of Shaggy man, he gained powers that could actually rival Superman!

93. Doctor Destiny

A DC super villain with the powers of a superior mind as well as the powers over dreams.

92. Killer Croc

With the given name Waylon Jones, Killer Croc was born with a genetic mutation that gave him crocodile like features and strength. He started his career as a wrestler in the circus; however, later rose up and eventually took over the Gotham Mob. 

91. Relic

Relic discovered the limited nature of the Emotional Spectrum and has been ever since trying to press forward with his mission. 

90. King Shark

King Shark is a humanoid shark. Contrary to popular belief he is actually a shark and not a human. Currently, he is a member of the Suicide Squad.

89. Giganta

One of the nemesis of Wonder Woman, she has the power to grow into a big strong giantess!

88. Jericho

He has the power to control people and their bodies just through eye contact!

87. Count Vertigo

The ruler of the country of Vlatava, he is one of the main foes of the Green Arrow. Using an implant in his head, he is able to disorient those that he is fighting. 

86. Gentleman Ghost

The Gentleman Ghost is a ghost for the 19th century. He currently has a big grudge against Hawkgirl and Hawkman. 

85. Trickster (Jesse)

The Trickster is a DC Villain who uses a joke bag of deadly tricks. 

84. Black Mask

The Black Mask is a mob boss at the head of the False Face Society who are a primary nemesis of Batman. They are known for torturing their victims. 

83. Zoom

A former close friend and ally to the Flash, he believes that the only way to make the Flash better is by becoming he nemesis. 

82. Wotan

An immortal, ancient sorcerer with the power to fly, travel through dimensions, and shoot powerful mystical bolts. 

81. Larfleeze

The head of the Orange Lantern Corps, who are powered by greed.

80. Killer Frost

A murderous villain with the power to absorb heat and turn it into cold.

79. Court of Owls

A secret organization older than Gotham City itself and have finally decided to come out from hiding and take over. They are a major nemesis of Batman.

78. Heat Wave

Heat Wave is an easily angered DC Villain with the power over fire. 

77. Pied Piper

The Pied Piper is a DC Villain with the power over sound. He is a nemesis to the Flash.

76. Carol Ferris

Carol was a pilot and friend to Hal Jordan (the Green Lantern). However, she got possessed by the Star Sapphire gem. 

75. Clock King (Tem)

Clock King is a villain with the power to see about 4.6692 seconds into the future.

74. Ultra-Humanite

Originally, the Ultra-Humanite was a weak old man with extreme intelligence. However, he moved his brain into the body of an albino ape and now in addition to is intellect has the powers of strength and telepathy. 

73. Weather Wizard

Marco Mardon is a DC villain with the power to control the weather.

72. Merlyn

Merlyn is a DC villan and expert assassin with his bow and arrow.

71. The Brain

The Brain is a DC villain. He is literally just a brain in a jar; however, is protected by his creation, Monsieur Mallah.

70. Mr. Mxyzptlk

Mr. Mxyzptlk is a 5th dimensional imp who has the power to do pretty much whatever he can imagine.

69. Circe

Circe is the legendary figure from Greek mythology. She is the nemesis of Wonder Woman and has the powers of immortality as well as goddess like powers of enchanting. 

68. Red Volcano

Red Volcano is DC villain robot created by Professor Ivo. 

67. Shade

As his name suggest, he is an immortal who wields shadows. He used to be a DC villain but has turned into an anti hero. 

66. Hush

One time childhood friend of Bruce Wayne, he knows Bruce’s secret identity and is set on destroying him. 

65. T.O. Morrow

This DC villain is the inventor of the Red Tornado. 

64. Owlman

Owlman is the evil doppelgänger of Batman coming from an alternate universe. 

63. Mr. Mind

Mr. Mind is the only survivor of a race of mind controlling worms from the planet Venus. He plans on taking over the Earth. 

62. Klarion

Klarion, also known as the Witch Boy, is a magic wielding villain. 

61. Professor Ivo

Ivo is an immortal and mad scientist.

60. Lobo

Lobo is the last of his race the Czarnians. He is known throughout the universe as a feared, strong, immortal, unkillable, bounty hunter who never misses.

Dr. Light has the power to manipulate light energy for various evil purposes.

58. Despero

Despero is one of the Justice League’s oldest foe. His psychic strength is matched only by his physical strength.

57. Metallo

Metallo is a cyborg who uses Kryptonite to have superhuman strength. This makes him very dangerous to Superman. 

56. Talia al Ghul

Talia is the Ra’s al Ghul’s daughter and the heir to his world-wide criminal empire. She has been both Batman’s lover as well as foe.

55. Captain Boomerang

Captain Boomerang, also known as George “Digger” Harkness, is a DC villain as well as a member of the Suicide Squad.

54. Ultraman

Ultraman is an evil doppelgänger of Superman from another universe. 

53. Mirror Master (Scudder)

The Ocean Master is the half-brother of Aquaman. He is constantly fighting Aquaman to try and take the throne of Atlantis. 

47. Atrocitus

Atrocitus is a founding member of the Red Lantern Corps and uses the rage of the Red Lantern as his source of power.

Eclipso greatest power comes during the eclipse where he is granted vast amounts of power. 

45. Trigon

Trigon is a demonic evil conqueror who intends on bringing all realities under his control. 

44. Cyborg Superman

Cyborg Superman is genetically the same as Superman. However, unlike his better self, he has gone around destroying those in his path. 

43. Felix Faust

Felix Faust is a 5000-year-old evil villainous sorcerer and one of the original enemies of the Justice League of America. 

42. Ares

Ares is the Greek god of War. However, he is all of the negative aspects of it such as violence and blood lust. 

41. Hugo Strange

Dr. Hugo Strange is a psychologist who is both brilliant as well as disturbed. Interestingly, he was one of the first to figure out the link between Batman and Bruce Wayne. 

40. Brother EYE

Bother EYE is an autonomous A.I. system who’s main function is keeping track of the metahumans on earth.

Krona is basically invulnerable and immortal with extreme psychic powers.

Desaad is many things: coward, torturer, and sadist. Needless to say he is one of the most evil DC villains.

Jonathan Crane uses a gas that induces fear to terrorize the citizens of Gotham City. 

36. Harley Quinn

Originally, Harley Quinn was a psychiatric resident in Arkham Asylum. There she met Joker. However, quickly she changed from doctor to lover and eventual evil sidekick. 

35. Solomon Grundy

Solomon Grundy is the reanimated corpse that terrorizes Gotham City. He has many looks, and depending on the look he has different levels of power. In fact, in one of his forms he is even stronger than Superman!

34. Black Hand

The Black Hand has the power to siphon the life force from his victims. 

33. Parasite

Parasite stared as a lowly janitor in S.T.A.R. Labs. However, due to an accident, he now has the power to absorb the power from anything he touches. 

32. Parallax

Parallax is an ancient evil. He is the embodiment of the emotion of pure fear. 

31. Penguin

Oswald Cobblepot is a sophisticated, rich, and intelligent man. At least in public. However, behind closed doors he is a power hungry DC villain intent on controlling everything around him. 

30. Mr. Freeze

Dr. Victor Fries was originally a scientists studying cryogenics in order to save his wife. However, after exposure to his chemicals, he can now only survive in below zero temperatures and must use a special suit to survive.

Nekron is an evil DC villain with the power over death and darkness. In fact, he has the power to bring those he chooses back to life.

Deadshot is one of the world’s best assassins as well as marksmen. 

27. Poison Ivy

Pamela Isley is a intelligent botanical biochemist. She is also an eco-terrorist who is willing to use any method necessary to save the planet. 

26. Prometheus

Prometheus is a twisted DC villain mirror image of Batman. After seeing his family killed, rather than wanted to do justice, he wants to destroy it. 

25. Amanda Waller

Basically nothing is known about Amanda Waller as her past is completely classified. However, we do know that she is the director and creator of the Suicide Squad. 

24. Black Manta

Black Manta is a notorious assassin and pirate as well as one of the most feared DC villains on Earth. He is the main enemy to Aquaman. 

23. General Zod

General Zod was a former member of the military of Krypton. However, after trying to conquer Krypton, he was exiled to the Phantom Zone. Now that he is free, he is going after Superman and his new home on Earth. 

22. Cheetah (Minerva)

Barbara Ann Minerva was a former archaeologist who tried to use an ancient ritual to turn into Urzkartaga. However, as she was not a virgin, she instead was cursed to forever hunger for human flesh. 

21. Gorilla Grodd

Gorilla Grodd is a super anthropomorphic, telepathic, intelligent gorilla. He is a rival of The Flash. 

20. Bane

Bane was forced to live in Peña Duro, an underground prison, from birth due to the crimes of his father. It was in this prison that he formed himself into the pinnacle of both mental and physical strength eventually becoming the one who could beat Batman.

19. Doomsday

Doomsday is seemingly unstoppable. He is able to overcome and destroy almost anything in his path. 

18. Eobard Thawne

Born in the 25th century, Eobard Thawne was a brilliant scientist. In his period of time, The Flash was a legend and Thawne was one of his greatest fans. Wanting to meet him, he went back in time. However, he found out that he was actually to become the Reverse-Flash, a nemesis of The Flash. Obviously, he didn’t like this and made it his mission to destroy The Flash and become the “true” Flash. 

17. Maxwell Lord

Maxwell Lord is one of the greatest evil masterminds on Earth. He has the power of extreme mind control. 

16. Bizarro

Bizarro in the imperfect duplicate of Superman. Everything he does is deliberately backwards and the reverse of normal. 

15. Riddler

Edward Nigma is a DC villain obsessed with brain teasers, puzzles, and riddles.

14. Anti-Monitor

The Anti-Monitor is the evil nemesis and counterpart to The Monitor from the Anti-matter Universe.

13. Captain Cold

Captain Cold is the leader of the Rogues. He gets his name from the cold gun he uses when he commits his crimes. 

12. Catwoman

Selian Kyle’s alias. She is a cat burglar with dubious morals as well as the on again off again romantic interest of Batman. 

11. Mongul

Mongul is an evil conqueror of worlds. He rides his planet sized ship Warworld laying destruction to any planet in his path. 

10. Ra’s al Ghul

Ra’s al Ghul, “The Demon’s Head” in Arabic, is the leader of the League of Assassins. They see humanity as a cancer on the Earth and seek to destroy them.

Vandal Savage is an evil immortal tyrant. He has been around since the beginning of human civilization. 

8. Black Adam

Black Adam is an evil champion of the Wizard. He is also the powerful enemy of Shazam. 

7. Lex Luthor

Lex Luthor is one of the most brilliant men to ever live. He believes in the idea that the ends justice the means. As such, he has been a constant enemy to Superman. 

6. Sinestro

Sinestro was once one of the greatest Green Lanterns to ever exist. However, he came to believe that the only way to establish order in the universe was through fear. As such, he created his own evil Corps to do so. 

5. Two-Face

Harvey Dent was the former D.A. of Gotham City. After having acid thrown on half of his face, he went insane and became the evil DC villain Two-Face. He uses a coin to help determine ever evil decision that he does. 

4. Brainiac

Brainiac is one of the most powerful adversaries of Superman. He is made up of both technology as well as biomatter and has extreme levels of intelligence. He roams the universe looking for civilizations and worlds to shrink and add to his collection. 

3. Darkseid

Darkseid, the “God of Evil” is one of the most powerful evil DC villains in existence. He is intent on bending everything in the universe to his will, making it in his image. 

2. Deathstroke

Slade Wilson, was once a soldier. He was genetically enhanced to surpass all human limits. Now he has become one of the most feared assassins in the universe. 

1. Joker

The Joker is the main nemesis of Batman. No one really knows his true origins. However, we all know about the chaos he loves to create.
